Maddie Rides Her Tricycle
Eric bought Maddie this tricycle for her 2nd birthday back in January. We've kept it inside to let Maddie grown into it a bit and learn to ride it.

Morning Hug

Maddie Sings her ABCs

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'
On Monday, Carly rolled over for the first time. Since then, she pretty much rolls over (and over) every time I put her on her back.
We no longer have a baby who will stay put on her blanket. Let the fun begin!

Carly's 4 Month Well-Check
Carly had her 4 month well-check appointment this week and things looked great. She's growing well and has hopefully developed some immunity to germs so she won't get sick as often. (Whew!)
Our only complaint to the doctor was about Carly's sleeping habit of waking every 2 hrs and screaming until she was fed. The doc encouraged us to start a "light" version of sleep training to help break Carly's bad habits since she no longer needs to eat so often. I'm happy to report that she's been sleeping 5-hr+ chunks almost every night. YAY!
Some of the fun things Carly is doing at 4 months old:
- Holds her head up
- Loves to sit up against pillows or in the bumbo
- Likes tummy time!
- Giggles and smiles all the time
- Loves bath time
- Can hold onto small toys and rattles
- Loves her burp cloth just like Maddie did
- Loves her paci
- Her cry has changed from a newborn cry to a loud bird-like squawk
- Eats really fast

Maddie Rides a Zipline
We've been taking Maddie to Rolly Pollies, our favorite kid gym, for over a year now but she's never been old enough or willing to ride the zipline.
Yesterday, she did it for the first time and several more times after that. These days, there are fewer and fewer activities that Maddie won't try.

Ponies!
Last week, four little ponies visited Maddie's preschool for the kids to pet and ride. Parents were invited to take pictures so Carly and I went to partake in the pony-riding fun.
Maddie was a little scared to ride the pony at first but I held on to her and walked next to the pony which seemed to ease her nerves. I had hoped that Carly might enjoy seeing the ponies but she decided to nap through the whole thing. Maybe next time.

Carly Turns 4 Months Old
Today, our little Carly Grace is 4 months old.
She's discovering her voice, grasping toys, enjoying tummy time (!!), giggling and playing lots and exploring her world. We're still working on getting her to sleep longer chunks. Hopefully better nights sleep (more than 3 hrs at a time) will come soon.

Mason's 1st Birthday
Over the weekend, we went to my newphew, Mason's, first birthday party. We had a wonderful time and it looked like Mason did too. It's always fun to get all the little cousins together to play. I enjoy it everytime. Can't wait until we get together again!

Cousins
This past weekend, my sister, brother-in-law and adorable niece, Ava, visited us. We spent time at a local jumpy gym and took the girls to ride the Zilker Park train. Ava and Maddie played all day long and had so much fun. We can't wait to see you guys again very soon!
