Pretty much since her birth, Maddie has enjoyed bathtime. Last week, I decided to remove the sling from her tub and fill it with a few inches of water so she could be warmer and start splash a bit. She seems to enjoy her baths even more now. Next, we'll get her some bath toys in the weeks come.

Maddie Rolls Over!
Today was an exciting day for Maddie (and Eric and me!) - she rolled from her back to her front. She still has a little trouble getting her right arm out from underneath herself but she's a determined little girl.
Last week, just after Easter weekend, we noticed that Maddie would get on her side sometimes so we knew she'd roll over soon.
Our precious babe gets bigger and smarter every day.
Spending some time on her side:
Turning over! (now, we need to capture it on video as she perfects her roll)

Daddy's Girl
Today is Friday and Maddie and I are happy as clams. Fridays at the office, people tend to dress a bit more casually, so I put a t-shirt-looking onsie and some funky leggins on Maddie. She's received quite a few compliments on her look today!
Here she is after a nice nap. Her t-shirt reads, "When I grow up, I want to be a computer nerd just like my Daddy".
Thanks to my sister Rachel for the cute onsie!

Easter Weekend
This Easter, we took Maddie on her very first road trip to my brother and his wife's place in San Angelo. Maddie slept the whole way there and back (about 2.5 hrs) which made the trip easy on us.
We had so much fun seeing my sisters, brother, his wife Whitney and my parents. I hope we can coordinate another family gathering soon.

Play Date!
Last week, my friend and fellow new Mom, Christy, came to my office for lunch and a playdate with her daughter Lauren and Maddie.
Lauren is about 2 months older than Maddie and cute as a button. Our two girls spent some time on the playmat, batting at toys and staring at each other. I'm sure they'll become great friends in the months/years to come.

Work-day Fun
Everyday this week, Madelyn has met new people and behaved more and more like a big girl.
One of my sweet co-workers, Jennie, came by my office to meet Maddie and play with her a bit. She nicknamed her "Tiny" since Jennie's son is 2+ years old so 3-month old Maddie seems so tiny to her. Maddie smiled at Jennie almost instantly, showing off her little dimples.
Today Maddie also learned that she can hit a toy hanging above her on her playmat and make it move. Up to this point, either Eric or I would push the toys for her but today she swung at a yellow duck over and over to make it move and entertain her. You can see her pushing her duck around with her left hand. I wonder if she'll be left-handed like Mommy.
Since Maddie is still getting used to my office and the new surroundings, she sometimes gets scared and doesn't know where she is. When she gets scared, she opens her eyes really wide. Hopefully soon, she'll get more comfortable at my office and can relax and have even more fun.
Here she is with her startled look. It always makes me laugh.
